The first trailer for Fallout Season 2

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Prime Video has released the first trailer for Season 2 of Fallout, announcing that the series will return on December 17. The network had already greenlit a third season.

The new trailer, unveiled at Gamescom, includes flashbacks to the beginning of the devastating nuclear war and introduces the new character Robert House, played by Justin Theroux. The footage also offers the first look at the iconic post-apocalyptic raiders of the Fallout universe, the Deathclaws.

Season 2 takes place in New Vegas, following the characters Lucy MacLean, the Ghoul, Maximus, and Dogmeat around the city.

Created by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, the series is based on the video game of the same name. It follows Vault Dweller in a post-apocalyptic world, one of the survivors who emerges from Vault 33, a shelter built in Southern California after the nuclear war. Lucy, played by Ella Purnell, is one of the central characters—having spent her entire life inside the vault until a crisis forces her on a rescue mission, where she discovers the planet has become a hellscape filled with giant insects and mutated creatures.

The cast includes Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Jonny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xenia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
